Completed: House Flooring

We’re excited to share that our lake house project in Azle is officially complete! This was our biggest transformation yet, and the results are absolutely stunning!

Our senior designer, Jenn Hayworth, worked closely with the homeowners to bring their vision of a light, airy lake house to life. Every detail was intentionally chosen to make the space feel more functional and warm.

We installed three types of flooring throughout the home: tile, LVP, and carpet. Before the rebuild, the house had stained concrete, but because the slab was poured too wet, the foundation developed concrete efflorescence—a process where salt leeches to the surface and crystalizes. This created challenges for certain flooring options, so after talking with an engineer, we determined the best solution was to trap the moisture under tile. With Jenn’s help, the clients selected a beautiful, natural wood-look tile with wide planks (and minimal grout lines).

Upstairs, where their rowdy grandchildren will spend a lot of time, we installed high-quality carpet with a thick pad. Now, the bunk room and playroom have a soft, plush floor that will last.

The staircase, storage room, bathroom, and office have luxury vinyl plank (LVP). LVP is one of our favorite materials because of its durability, 100% waterproof nature, and affordability compared to hardwood. With so many wood tones in the house, Jenn guided the clients in choosing coordinating colors that blend perfectly without clashing.
