Green Kitchen Remodel in Fort Worth, TX - Eagle Mountain Lake

This project began with one of our design consultations. Because the scope involved a complete layout rework, our team provided detailed floor plans and 3D renderings to help the homeowners visualize their new layout before any work started. The first few design meetings were essential in bridging the gap between “what if” and a concrete plan. These homeowners came to us with a very specific idea of how to improve the way their home functioned, and it involved moving several walls and moving some rooms around. We walled in the original dining room to create a private den and music room, and the main entry was closed off to create a more intentional sense of arrival. The existing family room was converted into the dining room. We relocated the back entrance to accomodate the new dining table and to ensure guests didn’t walk directly into the dining table. We expanded the kitchen and opened it up to the new dining area, featuring custom cabinetry in a striking deep green. To create a more functional “back entry” area, we wrapped the cabinets around the kitchen corner wall, where they ended at a window bench seat. These tall storage cabinets were a great place to store the homeowners’ broom, mop, and step stool. The microwave was hidden in another of these tall cabinets behind a cabinet pocket door that slides back. Below the microwave, we built a cabinet door with hinges on the bottom, to create a dedicated tea station. Our custom cabinet maker also built a massive island, which we topped with butcher block. It has open shelving on one end and comfortable bar seating on the other. We installed quartz countertops on the other cabinets, highlighted by a modern hexagon tile backsplash. Our crews also installed a beautiful engineered hardwood flooring throughout the home. Down the hall, we maximized their space by combining a pantry and coat closet into one open-concept pantry. We installed ready-made cabinetry with pull out trays, quartz countertops, and floating shelves. The floral wallpaper backsplash adds a fun, personal touch to this high-function space.
